IA
Research & Development Program
We develop, implement and clinically evaluate novel solutions with artificial intelligence (AI) to improve machine learning for prediction-based medical imaging and early diagnosis for clinically relevant applications in joint and perinatal diseases.
AI Based Coordinator
Rene Botnar
Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from ETH Zurich (Switzerland), and leader of the Artificial Intelligence in Bioinformatics and Healthcare Program. He coordinates the different projects within the program to develop, implement, and clinically evaluate novel solutions to improve AI and medical image-based prediction and early diagnosis for selected relevant clinical applications.
Associated research projects
Development of AI-based algorithms from massive osteoarticular imaging data to aid in early diagnosis, kinesiological prevention, regeneration monitoring and rehabilitation.
Development of a highly efficient and standardized MRI-based cardiac protocol for screening, early diagnosis and follow-up of women with a history of PE in their previous pregnancy.
Artificial Intelligence and Cross-Cutting Applications of Imaging and Biosensors – applications in cancer-associated, inflammatory and degenerative diseases.
